3-D Ultrasonography Arrives at Reproductive
Medicine Institute!
Do your patients want a clear picture of their
unborn child … a way to enhance the bonding
process…a keepsake? Patients have a difficult time
seeing their babies in a 2D ultrasound image that
most ultrasound machines produce. We will be happy
to provide them with a three dimensional (3D) view
--
and pictures -- of their baby during the first
trimester of pregnancy. Patients need simply call
our offices to schedule a 3D ultrasound appointment.
All scans will be for the patient’s personal use and
viewing pleasure only and will not include any
diagnostic imaging. Our office will supply you with
written material to distribute to your patients to
let them know about this new service.
Would defined images of uterine anomalies assist
you in the diagnosis and treatment of your patients?
Dr. Coulam is willing to help you gain more
information about your patients through 3D
ultrasound. She can provide isolated images, at your
request, of uterine and ovarian structures. Many
clinicians find that this is most helpful in
documenting pre-operative conditions, and
post-operative outcomes. With a simple prescription
from you (that includes the structures you want
scanned), your patient may schedule an ultrasound
appointment and we will provide you with a 3D
ultrasonic image and written description of the
image. This service is intended to enhance your
relationship with your patient. All patients will be
instructed to contact their referring physician for
ultrasound results. Please feel free to
contact us to discuss
how our new technology may be able to help you in
the care of your patients.
